  13. "STORY HOUR" AT THE HOBART PUBLIC LIBRARY

    0There was a fine response from the children of nearly all the schools of Hobart yesterday, when the first of the series of "Story Hours" at the Public Library was held. Nearly 200 children attended and listened with appreciation to a talk by Miss Barbara Storey on the "Story of Books." How completely the lecture room was filled can be seen from the photograph, and the speaker, Miss Storey, is seen on the extreme right. At the rear of the crowd of children are the Librarian (Mr. J. D. A. Collier) and his assistant (Mr. E. John), with the chairman of the Library Trustees (Professor E. Morris Miller) and Mrs. Miller. Hon. L. M. Shoobridge, M.L.C., is in the centre at the rear.
