  2. The Glory of the Bougainvillea

    Everyone is familiar with the mauve, purple, and lilac bougainvilleas, all of which make wonderful splashes of colour; but there is one variety which is not so well known and yet is perhaps the most striking of them all. It is Known as Queensland Rosea—a sport from the brick-red Laierita—and its colour is an exquisite rose-pink. When in full bloom it presents a beautiful sight. The plant here shown, which is only about four years old, is growing in Mr. W. M. Vindin's garden at Turramurra, on the North Shore line.
