The sinking of the Lusitania by a German submarine (as described in last week's "Mail") has undoubtedly placed Germany outside the pale of civilisation. At the inquest on the bodies of some of the victims, a verdict of wholesale wilful murder Was returned against the German Emperor, the German Government, and the submarine crew.
