The grand opera season was opened at Her Majesty's Theatre on Saturday night, when "La Boheme" was performed in the presence of the Governor-General and Lady Forster and the Governor and Lady de Chair. The richly-decorated theatre was thronged by enthusiastic music-lovers, and the display of beautiful gowns, wonderful cloaks and shawls, and exquisite gems was fully in keeping SYDNEY has beard at last the Grand Opera Company, about which so much has been written during the last four months, and which created such an unprecedented success in Melbourne.
