From a spectator's point of view the State Championship meeting just concluded was one of the greatest on record. There wan not a dull day. The individual matches did not always develop into the struggles that might have been expected, but one or other of the pairs engaged invariably brought the crowd to the home green, and at a time when everybody could join in, no matter which game they had elected to follow in the early stages.
