    H.M.A.S. Australia, once the pride of the Commonwealth, and the first flagship of the Australian Navy, was scuttled on Saturday in accordant with the Washington Treaty. Here she is seen, with the Australian flag and the naval ensign proudly floating from her battered hulk, being towed to her grave 24 miles out at sea.
