His Excellency and Lady de Chair travelled from England by the R.M.S. Maloja, which arrived in Sydney on Thursday last. From the great ocean liner they were conveyed to H.M.A.S. Adelaide on board the Government launch Premier, and then embarked upon a naval barge and proceeded to the landing-stage on the eastern side of Farm Cove, where they were informally welcomed by the Premier and officially welcomed by the Lord Mayor (on behalf of the citizens) in the presence of representatives of all classes of the community.
