    A football match which excited much interest was the grand final of the A. section of the Metropolitan Amateur between Old Scotch Collegians and Hampton, which was won after spirited play by Old Scotch, 11 goals 6 behinds (72 points) to Hampton's 7 goals 13 behinds (55 points).
