    By defeating Geelong in the Grand Final League Football Match on Saturday Collingwood broke all previous League records by winning its [?] successive premiership—a remarkable feat. After being so easily conquered by Geelong on the previous Saturday it was not generally expected that the Magpies could turn the tables, and when at the interval Piovatoniana led by 21 points it seemed that the idea was well founded.
