  2. Antarctica in Sunny New South Wales.

    This is not a picture of the great Antarctic lee Barrier. It is a remarkable photograph, taken by Mr. D. G. Stead, the New South Wales Fisheries Expert (who also secured the other snow pictures), within a short distance of the summit of Mount Kosciusko. Many people will find it hard to believe that it was taken in Australia near Christmas-time. Another Picturesque Scene on Mount Kosciusko.
