    THE ARARAT RIFLE CLUB TEAM with the Skene Memorial Shield after their win in the Grampians district rifle clubs' competition at St. Arnaud on Saturday. They are, from left: W. Crouch, W. Collins, C. Phillips, M. Powell and W. Chandler. The shield, of hand-beaten silver and valued at more than £100, was presented in 1901 by the late Mr. T.
