  3. Dorothy Parker's famous, if not altogether accurate, remark that "men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses" was a mild criticism. This writer makes a much more savage and pointed attack on the wretched inadequacy of glasses. What oculists, I opticians, optometrists and the like will say, we just shudder to think. AIDS TO VISION?
