CAMBRAI CEREMONY: The Battle of Cambrai of World War I, the first action in which Allied tanks were engaged, was commemorated on Saturday in Newcastle. Wreaths were placed on the Soldiers' Monument at the Post Office by Mrs. E. Cottee (Women's Auxiliary of the Armored Corps), the Lord Mayor (Aid. Purdue) and Mr. E. Cottee (president of the Armored Corps Association). (2) At the beach yesterday were Misses Julianne and Adrianne O'Connor. (3) Stockton Kilties girls marching team participating in the carnival at Stockton on Saturday. (4) Newcastle women's surf lifesaying team rehearse for the march past championship.
