As a pure spectacle of equine and bovine wealth the grand parade at the Sydney Royal Show has no equal. Visitors from all over the world acclaim it as unsurpassed in any of the great shows of Europe and America. This year it was even more impressive than usual, not only because of the increased numbers of stock on parade, but because of the quality that was evident in every one of the animals in the ring. Horses and cattle of most of the recognised breeds were there; stately and spirited hacks ridden by some of Australia's best-known horsemen and horsewomen moved around the arena; huge lorries and diminutive sulkies were drawn by gaily caparisoned horses; a contingent of police troopers lent colors to the picture; and a band of rough-riders in red shirts and blue introduced a new feature that is likely to figure more prominently in future. Youth was prominent everywhere, and a detachment of boy farmers with banner aloft indicated the prominent part being taken in agricultural development to-day by the Junior Framers' Club movement.
