    Nowhere else in Australia do the glorious jacarandas grow more magnificently than at Grafton, on the North Coast of New South Wales. There an avenue is specially dedicated to them, and in early November, when they are giving of their best, the citizens hold a merry carnival. Overhead the trees interlace; on the ground is a floral carpet of fallen petals fit for a royal cavalcade, and all around the atmosphere is balmy with a delicately delicious perfume.
