Floods in some parts and excessively dry conditions in others somewhat limited the number of show horses and cattle, and the quality generally was hardly up to the high standard of recent years. Royal Gift, owned by W. G. Wilkinson, won the champion of champions trophy in the horse section. A notable event in connection with the show was the buying back of a Clydesdale filly, Progressive Link, by Mr. David Adams, a Scottish breeder, who sold her in Melbourne last year.
