    The gum trees of Australia vary in size from the whipstick malices (shrub eucalypts) to the lordly white mountain ash, which may reach a height of over 300 feet. Many of the eucalypts have trunks of great beauty of colour. The flowering varieties are gorgeously arrayed with red, cream, scarlet, or yellow blossoms.
