The seventh anniversary of Armistice Day on Wednesday last was fittingly commemorated throughout the Commonwealth [?] in every other part of the Empire. In Sydney the principal ceremony was that in Martin Place, where many thousands of citizens, representing every class in the community, and including the Governor and Lady de Chair, assembled [?] to the memory of the gallant soldiers and sailors who gave their lives for Right and Justice. The two minutes silence—preceded by the singing of "O God, Our Help in Ages Past"—was solemnly observed, and for that p[?] city was hushed. Then came the sounding of the "Last Post," followed by the "Reville," and the simple ceremony ended with the National Anthem.
