THE Archbishop of York recently visited the Grand Fleet. He is here seen addressing some 1600 men of a destroyer flotilla. Like other distinguished prelates who have been given an opportunity to meet the officers and men of the Fleet, the Archbishop was impressed by the spirit of cheerfulness, patience, and quiet confidence that pervades all ranks. Though disappointed because of the continued inactivity of the German fleet, they are satisfied that should "the day" of a big engagement ever come they will be perfectly prepared for it, and in the meantime they are doing work the importance of which it would be impossible to estimate too highly ...
