Mascotte and Kismet were selected to represent N S W against the Queensland representatives. Vision and L.F.H., in the contests arranged as the outcome of a challenge by [?] owners of the Queensland boats to race the best of the local 18-footers on Sydney Harbour for £400. In the first race Mascotte turned the tables on Vision, which had Won the Australian championship a few days previously. Vision finished second, L.F.H. and Kismet being left hopelessly astern. In the second race, decided on Thursday, the result was an cay win for the Sydney boat Kismet, with Mascotte in second position. Vision finished third, L.F.H. being last.
