    Who last week, in Sydney, was presented with a cheque for over £25,000 and an exquisitely illuminated addresss (enclosed in a casket of Australian woods) expressing appreciation of his services to the Empire. The presentation was made on behalf of the Returned Sailors and Soldiers and the Citizens of the Commonwealth. The Prime Minister was profoundly moved by this tribute of public esteem.
