Lord horsier, the new Governor-General of the Commonwealth, accompanied by Lady Forster, arrived in Sydney from Melbourne last Wednesday, and was given a very warm reception. Their Excellencies were officially welcomed at the railway station, where many prominent people were introduced to them by the Governor (Sir Walter Davidson). A civic reception took place at the Town Hall, after which the progress through the city to Government House was resumed. In the evening the Governor and Dame Margaret Davidson gave an official dinner in honour of the distinguished visitors, and subsequently there was a reception, which was ... [ILLUSTRATED]
