Nothing is more certain than that within a few years we shall see a compleie change of method in Australian farming. Life on the land must be mack more attractive if we are successfully to preach the back-to-the-land gospel. Much of the present-day drudgery is simply the result of excessive manual labour, that might easily be reduced to a minimum by the substitution of machine-power. The coming of the gasolene engine has supplied a force which farmers in other countries have not been slow to utilise.
