Another glorious week has to be recorded. The British north of St. Quentin captured over 10,000 Germans and 60 guns. In these operations the Australians (who Were responsible for 4000 prisoners) took a very prominent part, entirely new ground being reached. Acting in co-operation on the right of the British the French also made important captures. In Macedonia the Allies gained a great success over the Bulgars, who suffered very heavy losses, including 5000 prisoners. In Palestine General Allenby gained a victory which resulted in the smashing of the 7th and 8th Turkish armies, over 20,000 prisoners being secured; of that number ...
