There are comparatively few men in Sydney to-day who can cast their memories back over three-quarters of a century or more and revisualise the scenes of those early colonial days. From a historic point of view, the recollections of such men are invaluable, for, in compiling the history of the country in the days to come, no chronicles will be more important than those of the men who were able to bring an intimate personal touch to bear on official facts and figures.
