All the above photographs, except those of the girl in the centre, the girl immediately above her (to the right), and the group of five on the right-hand side, were sent to the "Mail" by Pte. E. J. Unwin, of the 14th Battalion, A.I.F., who picked them up on the battlefield in France. On the back of the snap in the top right-hand corner is the word "Peg." The group beneath that, which was found in France by Gunner A. R. Wyld, is described as "A Stanly in Physiognomies" and the sentry at the bottoms ... [ILLUSTRATED]
