Ewing, King, and Berry, at their saleyards, Gunnedah, on October 20 last, when upwards of 200 head were yarded, buyers from Victoria, H[?], Hunter River, and neighbouring districts being in attendance. A large number of horses yarded were quitted at prices satis factory to sellers, draughts being very eagerly competed for. Being the centre of a thriving wheat-growing, sheep raising and fattening district, Gunnedah promises to become one of the principal horse markets in the North. Messrs. Ewing, King, and Berry are one of those progressive firms that do much to further the interests of their town and district. In addition to the horse business, they conduct periodical auction sales of store sheep and cattle on a big scale, and also carry on a lucrative business in the sale of stock and properties by private treaty. It might be mentioned that up to 1000 head of large stock and 15,000 sheep can be handled in their private saleyards.
