This is the story of how Paul Pringle won the 18ft Sailing Championship on Sydney Harbour after perhaps the most exciting race in the history of the sport, together with the reasons why the prize was not awarded. I take no responsibility for the yarn ; in fact, the whole thing seems to me preposterous, but I have it as gospel from Billy the Bail Boy, who sailed in Murrumbidgee on the memorable occasion.
