Miss Ethel Campbell, of Durban, who is affectionately known to thousands of Australian and New Zealand soldiers as "The Girl With the Flags," because of her messages of welcome and farervell to every troopship that arrived and departed from the South African port during the war, reached Sydney on Friday on board the steamer Kanowna, accompanied by her father and mother. Miss Campbell was given a most enthusiastic welcome by an excited crowd of Diggers at the wharf, and was afterwards received at the Acting-Premier's office and thanked for her splendid work She Was also given a civic reception at the Town Hall.
