    These are pastoralists who, on a tour of inspection of station properties covering perhaps 2000 or 3000 miles (during which they may buy and sell great numbers of sheep), have halted for their mid-day meal. This, though hurriedly prepared, and of the simplest character, is relished more keenly than many an elaborate dinner at home or club. These tours a few years ago were made on horseback or by buggy, but nowadays the motor car is almost invariably used, the result being a great saving of time, except in wet seasons, which, however, are rare in the pastoral country. ...
