    Frederick George Smith, the new King's prizeman, is in his 37th year, and is the father of a family of seven. He is a native of Victoria, and came to Sydney 13 years ago, being now a resident of Annandale. By occupation he is a motor-driver. His success in the big event was quite unexpected, for before annexing the blue ribbon of the meeting he had but £14 to his credit in prize-money, and in the Longfield Aggregate he occupied only the 109th position. He put up a record score in the King's, however—380 points out of a possible 400. His shooting had previously been limited chiefly to B grade contests. ... [ILLUSTRATED]
