The opening sales of the Australian wool-selling season have exceeded anticipations in every way, and growers are to be congratulated upon the excellent range of values which has been established and the prospects ahead for a successful selling period. It was generally expected thai the demand would be strong and that prices would show some improvement, but the initial sales were of the most spirited character and the demand general, prices for good average greasy merinos showing an advance of 10 to 15 per cent, on July rates.—By "Warp." ...
