The Prime Minister, on his first visit to Sydney since the Imperial Conference, was given a rousing welcome by thousands of ex-soldiers and civilians on Friday last. He made a triumphant march from the Central Railway Station to Martin-place, where he was presented with an address of welcome. Our picture shows Mr. R. B. Orchard reading the address, which set forth the people's appreciation of his great services to Australia and to the Empire. Mr. Hughes, in the course of a subsequent speech, strongly urged the need for increased population, so that Australia might be preserved for all time for the white race. "We speak ... [ILLUSTRATED]
