    In a test flight last Wednesday the Southern Cross gave a thrilling, exhibition over Blenheim of dives, banks, and turns. The 'plane was placed on a course for Sydney while Mr. Litchfield took observations with the object of correcting the compass during the flight Kingsford Smith by cutting out two engines proved that the 'plane could get along well enough with one propeller while carrying six men.
