  2. ON A BANANA PLANTATION : IN NORTHERN NEW SOUTH WALES.

    After visiting Coff's Harbour, which is destined to importance as a seaport of northern New South Wales, a "Mail" photographer took the Woolgoolga-road for about five and a half miles, and came to a banana plantation. The pictuies published herewith, and the information gathered, throw light upon banana-growing as an industry. Our representative writes: "The success of the plantation is largely due to the fact that it is planted on scrub lands, and is well protected by mountains on the western side." ... [ILLUSTRATED]
