  2. METHODIST SYNOD ENTERTAINED AT MEREWETHER

    Maitland District Synod of the Methodist Church has been holding its annual sessions at Merewether Central Church. Yesterday the official luncheon of the Synod was held, the gathering including a number of visitors, and minister of Newcastle Churches of other denominations. The photograph was taken outside the Church after the luncheon. The Mayor of Merewether (Ald E. Lloyd) is seated on the ground in the front row, and on the chair immediately behind him is the Chairman of the Synod (Rev. George Road, of Waratah Methodist Church). ... [ILLUSTRATED]
