    Canberra's celebration of National Pet Week began at the weekend with open days at many of the city's veterinary hospitals. At the Kippax Veterinary Hospital, Topaz, above, was given a clean bill of health from Dr John Aspley Davis and Gavin Mongan, 11, of Flynn.
