    The above photographs are of a German municipal bond and attached interest coupons, issued by the City of Leipzig, representing part of a pre-war issue in which thrifty Germans invested their savings, believing in the security of their city and State. Germany has not repudiated, but its Government resorted to the printing press for money with which to pay its way.
