    The Leicester Castle, a ship of 2,000 tons, bound from Monte Video to Newcastle, New South Wales, was towed into Auckland on June 29. disabled. She was struck by a huge wave on April 20. and thrown on her beam ends, considerable damage being done to spars and rigging, and it was decided to send the vessel to Sydney for repairs.
