    Newcastle may one day have a civic centre like this if the plan prepared by the City Architect (M. N [?] Parkinson) is adopted. It is a long-range view of the possible developemnt of the heart of Greater Newcastle. The Cultural Centre Sub-committee has approved the plan so far as it relates to the site of the proposed cultural centre.
