    The above reproduction of an actual photograph shows how, high explosive shells having torn away the wire entanglements, a scott Regiment has been enabled to reach the breastwork of a German trench, which was afterwards captured. The men are taking cover, while the officer is seen bending down holding a revolver in the foreground is a wounded German. The smoke of bursting shells can also be seen.
