  3. IMPRESSIVE FUNERAL SERVICE BEHIND FIRING LINE COMDUCTED UNDER RAIN OF BURSTING SHELLS.

    Funeral of an officer and seven Belgian soldiers killed in a terrific artillery duel. The picture was taken in a village immediately behind the firing line, while every once in a while the bursting of a shell would drown the voice of the regimental chaplain.
