Indian snake charmer Ram Chandra is searching the Rockhampton district for more snakes for his collection. Last Sunday morning he entered a disused air raid shelter on the wharves and within 10 minutes came out holding a 4½ ft yellow-belly black snake. The picture on the left shows Ram Chandra pulling the snake from beneath the duckboards in the shelter. Portion of the snake (arrow) can be seen between the boards.
