    A "cave" of 171 delegates to the recent conference of the Farmers' Party, and followers of ex-P.M.G. Stewart, decided at a special meeting to take a firm stand and adhere to the independent principles of the Party, but it also decided to abide by the present pact with the Nationalists until after the Federal elections.
