The British anti-invasion measure of oil fires on the surface of the Channel is shown in the above picture just released and sent from British by beam wireless. The picture on the left shows the oil spreading on the surface on being released from submarine pipes. A few moments later the oil was lit and the spectacle shown on the right crepted.
