    Yesterday's picture of the Dew Rosa River bridge near the Q.M.E. meatworkS, the first pile of which was driven a year before, on September 14, 1953. Eight of the 17 spans have been completed and the driving of the remainder of the piles for the structure is well in hand. A sand bank is built up to many the pile driver in the deeper portion of the river and it will not be necessary to operate from a pontoon there. The contractors. M. H. Hornibrook Pry. Ltd., propose to have the foundations and girders placed before the wet season sets in. The total length of the bridge will be 1743 feet and it will provide a 24-foot roadway, with a 6-foot footway on the downstream side. Contract time for completion of the bridge is May 6. 1955. ...
