Advertising : 13 wordsTHE TANGLED MASS OF WIRES AND STEELWORK, which was once the stately Imperial Airways liner City of Ottawa, lying on the beach at Dungcness, after having been towed ashore by the trawler Gaby. The disaster happened a few miles off the French coast. Of the 13 passengers who boarded the liner at the Croydon aerodrome, only six were saved. They managed to clamber on to the fuselage roofing when the machine crashed into the sea, and were taken off by a trawler, which recovered the bodies of the two Australians who were among the drowned. ...
