Advertising : 58 wordsYESTERDAY'S SENSATIONAL THEFT, in which Mrs. Doris May Sowter was knocked down and robbed of £100, was perpetrated within a few yards of a main city street, at one of the busiest times of the day. Mrs. Sowter (top, left) had just turned into Union street, from Handle street east, when a man approached, and, knocking her into the gutter, snatched the bag containing £100, which she was carrying. He then sprang on to the running board of a car which was being driven slowly along Union street towards street, and escaped. Later, the car, believed to be the one used in the robbery, was found at the corner of West terrance and ... [ILLUSTRATED]
