    OVERJOYED AT THEIR RESCUE, members of the Southern Cross crew chaired Captain Heath, pilot of the West Australian Airways, plane when he landed beside the stranded Southern Cross on April 13. He was the first real link with the outside world the lost fliers had had for 14 days.
