  4. The Sea School: British Mariners In The Making

    MANNED BY THIRTY-NINE SMART ENGLISH LADS, the training ship Devon called at Outer Harbour yesterday, and will continue her journey to Melbourne today. The ages of the cadets, who are drawn from many English-counties, range from 14 to 20 years. They are serving a four years' apprenticeship in the Mercantile Marine Service, and are in charge of Capt.
